One of the most dreamy, picturesque and dramatic landscapes I have come across in my career as a wedding photographer, is Inn on the Lake on the Ullswater Lake in the Lake District.
There is nothing I can't fault at all about this place! I'd love to go back one day or continue to cover more weddings in and around this beautiful spot as well as my home area.
Emma and Stephen married in August 2021 at the end of a long heatwave, which thankfully was still on during their big day. With glorious sunshine and barely a cloud in the sky, they were able to marry under the beautiful pergola in the gardens right on the shore of Lake Ullswater and surrounded by the beauty of the surrounding mountains.
The staff at Inn on the Lake were some of the nicest I've ever met and huge thanks to the wedding coordinator there who made sure the couple (and even myself) had everything they needed.
Originally from Liverpool and Lancaster, the reception was themed by famous musicians and records and included an amazing cake by Heaton Cakes and Bakes with a Disney topper.
We made the most of the outside space by making time for three sets of portraits - after the ceremony, at Sunset and dusk.
