An overcast and rainy morning and lunchtime gave way to a beautiful late afternoon and sunset for Ines and John at Eastington Park in Gloucestershire. This is another venue that is a 5-minute drive from me.
Initially due to wed outside, a last-minute change because of the weather meant the ceremony was held indoors in the warm and inviting ceremony room.
Thankfully the rain held off for the rest of the day so we managed to do confetti outside and guests mingled on the lawns after.
One thing I’ll always remember from this wedding is whilst photographing some family groups near the house, a herd of rather amorous cows got it on in the background making for some epic photos of everyone in hysterics! You can’t buy that sort of event!!
A beautiful meal and speeches were followed by an even more beautiful Cotswold sunset at the side of the house. We caught it just in time as 5mins later it had dipped below the trees. This is why I love wedding photography – beautiful moments can happen instantly and then be gone. That’s why photos are so important.
