These two are the absolute cutest!
My first time at this venue, Guyers House is situated not far from Chippenham, ten miles from Bath and on the doorstep of the Cotswolds. It’s a beautifully romantic Victorian house with equally stunning gardens (and a kitchen garden)
We met a few months before the wedding for a venue visit (I like to visit if I haven’t been to a venue beforehand) and an engagement photoshoot, where I met their darling little furbaby Marley.
The morning of the wedding I went to their home first to take some groom prep photos and some portraits of Paul’s daughters and little Marley before driving to Guyers where Tracy was getting ready alongside her mother and her son and daughter.
The ceremony was held in a stunning room with warm pink and orange hues and adorned with plenty of flowers whilst they said their vows and had a sand mixing ceremony to celebrate their new blended family. The guests were then led outside into the garden for a drinks reception.
The best thing for me as a photographer about smaller, more intimate weddings is being able to take a little extra time with photos so Tracy, Paul, Marly and myself went for a walk around the stunning gardens and pond for a very chilled photo session before heading back for them to be announced into their wedding breakfast. After speeches, everyone headed over to the coach house for garden games and drinks and photos whilst the sun was setting.
Cake cutting was next and the stunning cake was lovingly made by Paul’s daughter in beautiful navy blue icing with gold leaf detailing. After, there was an extra special surprise as Tracy and Paul had been working with an amazing choreographer Steph (seriously one of the nicest people I’ve ever met!) for their first dance, which had everyone smiling with joy.
I literally cannot recommend Guyers house enough for beautiful intimate weddings such as Tracy and Paul had. The gardens alone will provide some seriously stunning backdrops for those romantic images as well as natural and relaxed ones of your guests.
