I look back on this day and think "My GOODNESS, WHAT A WEDDING!"
Everything was breathtaking from the Church to the river spot for photos to The Wool Barn in Frampton-On-Severn.
After having to postpone a couple of times after originally planning to get married in 2020, it was well worth the wait.
Getting ready at her parents home, Hetta and her bridesmaids along with her mother had the amazingly talented LoveBird Make-Up apply their look and their hair styled by Lucy Phelps. The beautiful flowers were made by Ivy House Florist based in Gloucester.
Ed's morning preparation photos were covered by my second photographer (and good friend) Sophie.
They were married at the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Arlingham near where Hetta grew up. The vicar baptised her as a baby so it was a real family affair.
After the ceremony and confetti walk, the newlyweds were driven in a vintage VW van to the banks of the River Severn, where the couple had many a date. It's a beautiful location for photos as you've seen above in the header photo! After celebrating with a glass of champagne, we all took off to Frampton Wool Barn to continue the celebrations with the rest of the guests.
The barn is set just by the cricket pitch opposite the nearby Frampton estate in another picturesque part of Gloucestershire. It's a beautifully authentic medieval barn and often used for filming period dramas such as Sanditon and The Spanish Princess, with a working farm and stables to the side and back.
A drinks reception greeted the couple in the garden of the manor house to the side of the barn, which was filled with an array of flowers and plants and made the perfect spot for catching up with family after the last (very long) year! The wedding breakfast took place inside the barn that was decorated with numerous candles and flowers, long tables with rustic touches such as hessian hearts.
After speeches, everyone made their way outside to mingle and we took advantage of the beautiful sunset for more photos whilst the barn was set up for the evening entertainment. After cutting the cake, the couple took to the dance floor to music by...
We finished the evening off with some beautiful nighttime portraits outside the barn so it didn't take too long.
All in all, I shall look back at this day with such fond memories and Hetta - you totally rocked that dress!! Sophie and I still reminisce over this wonderful and beautiful wedding :)
