Love this couple! So much we're friends on Facebook :)
After postponing a couple of times from 2020 (for obvious reasons), they finally got their amazing day in October 2021 and couldn't have chosen a better time of year when all the leaves had turned an array of golds and reds.
I was so happy for them to finally get their day, even I got quite emotional at one point when Kirsty walked down the aisle to the alter and they leaned it. It was an absolute privilege and pleasure for me to capture that touching moment for them.
After the intimate ceremony and confetti walk, the drinks reception was held on the terrace with amazing views of the surrounding countryside and Cotswolds Hills. When it was time for group photos, we decided to mix up the bridal and groom party and recreate some film and music covers to make it more fun and interesting. I'll leave you to guess which ones we went for!
After photos were finished, guests mingled some more before speeches and the Wedding breakfast started. I love speeches as the emotion really comes out and I love seeing and photographing the reactions on guests faces whether it's laughter or tears of joy and love. Those are the types of photos that ten, twenty, thirty years down the line mean so much when life has moved on.
As it got dark earlier, we could get some of the fun nighttime photos out of the way and my homemade fairy-light umbrella was a hit whilst we were waiting for the room to be turned around for the evening entertainment - a DJ who was also the toastmaster during the day! There was also a popcorn machine that was a hit with the kids and adults alike.
All the weddings of 2021 mean so much to me as a photographer. I can see in the couple and their families and friends, the absolute joy of being together again after being apart for so long. As a photographer, the emotions that are written on peoples faces are truly one of the main reasons why I love my job.. which is more than a job - it's my passion in life and calling. It gives me such genuine and true joy to see you all come together.
