A lovely intimate wedding for Clarissa and James in October 2021 in the centre of the beautiful Georgian city of Bath in Somerset.
Although they live in London, Bath holds a special place in their hearts as the first holiday they had together. It's also conveniently (and sort of) halfway between both sets of families.
Staying and getting ready at the Gainsborough Hotel in the city centre, we all walked towards the Guildhall where their ceremony would be held. It was fun watching the tourists stopping for a double-take and then broadly smiling and wishing the couple well. We stopped in the centre of the main shopping street and also by the Abbey for a few quick photos alongside some street performers.
The Guildhall is situated by the Abbey where their family were waiting for them. Having been to this venue a few months before, it was nice to see another of the rooms where they held ceremonies.
Once the couple were married, we gathered outside for a few more photos and confetti before the guests headed off to the Hare and Hounds just at the top of the hill above Bath, whilst we three decided to head off for a few more photos by the famous Pulteney Bridge and Parade Gardens. I lost count of how many times they were congratulated and told how beautiful they looked!
A big thank you to Clarissa and James for going along with my wacky photos ideas such as pretending to wait for a bus!
