12 Wedding Venues near Stroud, Gloucestershire in the Cotswolds
1. Stonehouse Court Hotel - Stonehouse
Situated within very easy access of the M5, Stonehouse Train Station and other links, this beautiful 17th Century Manor House is idyllically situated beside the Stroudwater Canal with probably the most photographed church in the area – St Cyr’s behind it (the pirate Blackbeard’s Grandfather was vicar here). Apart from the gardens and picturesque manor house, one feature I absolutely love is that they offer bridal cruises on the canal!
2. Saxon Barn – Leonard Stanley
This very ancient farm is actually situated one street away from where I live so of course, I had to absolutely include this one! Dating all the way back to the 10th and 11th centuries, the owners renovated one of the beautiful barns as an intimate wedding venue. Having photographed here before, I can vouch for its beautiful rural setting, nestled against the Cotswolds Hills.
3. Eastington Park - Eastington
Situated in the next village over from me, Eastington Park is an exclusive use venue that was built in 1815. Just minutes from the M5, it’s incredibly easy to get to for your guests. As it’s completely yours for the day, it feels like home from home and you and your guests can carry on the reception until the early hours.
4. Owlpen Manor – Near Uley
A gorgeous secluded and historic Tudor Manor House, Owlpen is an exclusive use venue that offers numerous locations for your ceremony. With picturesque gardens, guests can also stay in the on-site accommodation. The Manor now boasts a refurbished barn that simply looks amazing!
5. Kingscote Barn - Kingscote
Set in its own secluded little valley which cannot be seen from the main road, I adore this venue as it’s quiet, surrounded by greenery and in summer has some of the most spectacular sunsets. Plus it’s only a couple of minutes drive from some of the most stunning views over the Severn Estuary. It also has a gorgeous outdoor space for summer weddings.
6. Egypt Mill - Nailsworth
An impressive 16th Century Mill, obviously surrounded by water with a beautiful riverside lawn space for your guests, this venue is truly unique. With on-site accommodation and only a stone's throw from the pretty village of Nailsworth, guests will have everything on their doorstep.
7. The Old Lodge - Minchinhampton
Set on the beautiful National Trust area of Minchinhampton Common with sweeping views of the Stroud Valleys, this venue is perfect for seclusion and getting those stunning rural backdrops for photographs and giving your guests plenty of space. 8. The Bear of Rodborough - Rodborough
An exquisite coaching Inn on Rodbourgh Hill above Stroud shares its location with a large herd of free-roaming cows, which certainly makes a talking point when they peer over into your wedding celebrations! With beautiful stone arches, open fireplaces and a colourful garden this venue definitely has a cosy and intimate atmosphere.

One of Gloucestershire’s truly unique venues that merge the Cotswold idyll with Asian influences, this exclusive use venue definitely has the ‘wow’ factor. With 28 acres of land, half given over to the natural habitat, this venue is perfect for couples that love the outdoors.

A beautiful country house near the River Severn, there is the impressive Georgian Manor House, The orangery and the Wool Barn to choose from.
The landscaped gardens have a Dutch influence that provides a stunning backdrop for photos. The historic Wool Barn also boasts impressive gardens for guests to mingle and relax in.

Definitely one for the history lovers, this Victorian mansion was famously left unfinished and now has quite a ghostly reputation as well as being the location for many films and TV shows such as ‘The Crown’.
The mansion is hidden in a secluded valley and boasts three ornamental lakes and various walks.

A hidden gem, this Georgian extravaganza of Cotswolds chic is the perfect place for an intimate wedding. Aside from the stunning rooms and gardens, it also has a very photogenic Art Deco plunge pool.
