English rose Samantha and American Nick met on a night out a few years back in the UK where it was love at first sight! They contacted me a few months before the wedding and thankfully I had the date free.
I hadn’t been to Priston Mill near Bath in Somerset since 2017 so it was long overdue! It was a scorching, sunshine-filled day and the waterwheel gave some natural air conditioning for overheated guests (and photographer!). I love this venue, it’s full of character, and light and the staff are fantastic.
Nick and Sam chose a celebrant-led ceremony with a sand mixing feature to include Sam’s young son and their new blended family. After this was the drinks reception on the lawn with a handy playground nearby for the kids and big kids alike!
The wedding breakfast was served in the top room (which was nice and cool) followed by cake cutting and the first dance to some classic Motown tunes.
