Married on a breezy but warm Summers day at an idyllic rural church in Elmore, Gloucestershire. Rebecca & Matthew gathered their nearest and dearest during the Covid restrictions of 30. Not quite the original day they had planned and the reception is now scheduled for next year, the love, smiles and laughter were in abundance as they said their vows in front of 30 of their beloved family and friends on a Saturday in August.
Becca is a primary school teacher and she had a lovely surprise when some of the children stood outside in the grounds to wish her and her new husband Matt well as they start their new life together. I'll always remember the sweet story Becca told me as the school she worked at ended their summer term a month before, some of the children got really upset when they found out 'Miss' wouldn't be returning in September, until it was explained that she would be returning but as a 'Mrs'.
The day really stood out for me as the Bride wore bridal Converse trainers, the Groom arrived in a VW van (which was also the wedding 'car') and the exquisite flowers, which were a riot of summery colours perfectly reflecting the time of year.
Also a big thanks to Matt's mum who came to my rescue after my car keys and phone were locked in the church!
