A September Wedding for Josh and Steph at Pukrup Hall near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire
Although it rains quite frequently in this country, it's rare that there are torrential downpours all day. Sadly this is the weather that we had to contend with! They do say rain on your wedding day is lucky as a wet 'knot' is harder to untie so these two definitely have luck on their side!
We visited the venue together beforehand and had a wet-weather plan that we implemented on their day. Luckily Pukrup, is an exquisite venue with lots of nooks and crannies for photo opportunities inside, such as grand staircases, chandeliers and open spaces and porches. It also has an amazing spa (which I highly recommend!). More of this stunning venue can be found on another Wedding I covered for Judy & Chris.
Steph was a gal after my own heart with a blush pink/champagne theme and a beautiful, unique, one-off 'dress', which was a top with a long wrap overskirt that gave a glimpse of her white satin trousers underneath made by the super talented team at Enchanted Bridal in Cheltenham.
With a number of rooms made available for the guests to use, the rain didn't dampen the day at all with music and indoor games. We even managed to find a covered area outside where we could take small group photos. We did manage to sneak outside properly at about 10 pm to take a stunning night shot that you will see below. I love night time portraits. It's an underrated time of day in my opinion!
